2023 Workforce Initiatives
During 2023, NCHASP strategically broadened its portfolio to support members’ workforce needs. Camacho Consulting conducted two successful no-cost pilots for NCHA members by delivering valuable assessments on workplace violence and generating insightful data on related statistics. Likewise, in response to member demand for non-clinical staffing and improved employee benefits, especially in childcare, NCHASP collaborated with Intelassist and TOOTRiS.
In May, NCHASP organized a Regional Solutions Summit focused on workforce issues at three locations across the state. The event brought together workforce professionals from member hospitals to connect with regional peers and discuss business solution strategies. Participants left with innovative ideas.
NCHASP is continuing our focus on workforce by considering a new program designed to enhance or offer an alternative to existing staffing models. The approach would be designed to empower healthcare systems and to foster operational efficiency and potential cost savings by reevaluating expenditures on travel personnel.
